Movie Review: Coco

Pixar’s Coco is a super cute movie! If you enjoyed The Book of Life, then I recommend you go out and watch Coco. The story revolves around a boy who loves music and feels at odds with his dream because his family does not support it.  His great grandfather was a talented musician who abandoned his family and left his young wife and child, Coco, behind.

Somehow (you will find out when you watch the movie) the boy is sucked into the spirit dimension and has an out this world experience. The movie ends up having a twist and even a beautiful tear jerking moment.

After watching this movie I wanted to learn more about the beautiful tradition of Día de los Muertos. It seems like a great opportunity to remember your roots and cherished moments with your loved ones while creating new memories with your living family. I also became very interested in alebrijes  and spirit guide animals.
